The birth of The Wyrd Moon
In the stillness of 2020, when the world began to grew quiet and the days of when it would return normal again, I finally found myself with the time to listen inward. The noise of everyday life had faded, and what remained was a safe space where I could wander deeper into the feelings and questions I had carried for years but never named. One of those callings was Witchcraft.
My journey began with curiosity and a book that felt like a torch in the darkβWicca by Harmony Nice. Harmony had been a presence I followed for years on YouTube, long before WitchTok emerged, and during those quiet months I returned to her wisdom with new eyes. In own self guidance, I began to recognize truths about myself that had always been there, waiting.
It was in those same months that I encountered Hekate (or Hecate)β Queen of the Witches, Goddess of Witchcraft, the Keeper of Keys, Guardian of Crossroads and many of Her names. She entered my life softly but with undeniable force. Like so many before me, I studied, I practiced, I faltered, and I grew. My devotion deepened, and I found myself walking more fully into my craft, led by Her light and by the whispering of plantsβboth baneful and healingβthat seemed to call my hands into their care.
Now, years later, I arrive at a new threshold: the birth of The Wyrd Moon. This is not simply a brand, nor merely a shop. It is a weaving of my journey, the threads of stillness, devotion, growth, and shadow spun together into something I can share. It is the embodiment of nights spent in quiet study, of hands in the soil, of whispered prayers to the crossroads.
The Meaning of Wyrd
Wyrd is an ancient word, one carried from Old English. It is often spoken of as βfateβ or βdestiny,β but its meaning runs deeper, wider, more alive. Wyrd is the great weaving of existenceβthe interlacing of choices, moments, and connections that shape all things. It is not fixed; it is ever-shifting, ever-spun. To me, Wyrd is the spirit of the Craft itself: the understanding that we are each a thread, bound to others, woven into a tapestry greater than ourselves.
This spaceβthis beginningβis my offering into that tapestry. The Wyrd Moon is both my journey and my gift, a thread I place into the weaving, hoping it might resonate with yours.
As I open this door, I do so with gratitude, devotion, and wonder. May The Wyrd Moon grow, shift, and spiral as all living things do, and may it carry with it the essence of both the shadow and the light.
Welcome to The Wyrd Moon. Welcome to the weaving.
